Day Nineteen

It's a gorgeous sunny day in Terrace today - pefect for standing outside Mills Memorial Hospital to pray for an end to abortion! Our youth will be out there today - thank you for giving up your afternoon to pray!

I read an inspiring entry at the International 40 DFL blog today. You can read it too if you click HERE.

  1. Something about the sun yesterday must have brought out the talkativeness in people..

One person slowed the car down and asked us, "What's this 40 days for life about?" And then after we told her, rolled her eyes and said, "Oh, good luck." sarcastically, and drove on.

There was also a couple that walked across the street and were wondering why 40 days, and was it just us doing it? And we talked to them for a bit and then, they wished us a good day and were on their way.

I'm almost certain that there were another person, but I can't remember at all.

Hmm.. I should make some more signs to have on hand - yesterday, there were two more people than there were signs! That's a good sign. :)

Oh, and remember how last year we were talking about a night vigil for a couple hours one night (or a whole night) with candles? We should do that sometime!

    Have a great day,
    Ria

  2. Thanks for your feedback Ria! It's great that your youth group is out there as being ProLife often seems to be equated with older folks. Thanks for showing Terrace that being ProLife is for everyone!

I think a candlelight vigil is a great idea. I wonder how many people would be interested in doing this before the time change this weekend?
